Project TEXTile interpretations. 2014 – 2018

The cycle of exhibitions within the project “Interpretations TEXTILES” has its start in 2014 and aimed at conceptualizing the textile as a branch of art and analysis tool both visual and textual significant processes. To understand the theme different areas of textile art- and painting will be addressed. Differences in methodologies and different artistic points of view, facilitate the study of textile art not only as decoration but as conceptual art with the depth of their contexts. The project authors explore the relationship between text, image, time and space. Migrate between past and present, thinking about future, with creating metaphorical structures.

2017

2016

In 2016, to define and expand the capacity of the concepts of exposure, as a vehicle of expression and manifestation of the social context, we analyze the art with integrating philosophy, will create a clear message , uniting the texts of Lithuanian philosopher of the twentieth century, Vydūnas. So, we unite art, literature and philosophy.

2015

In 2015 the main idea of the interdisciplinary project connected to the “Femininity” concept: the artists interpreted personal experiences in the textile context. Every participant of those exhibitions treats features as sensitiveness, compassion, suffering, thoughtfulness, modesty, gentleness etc., in her own way, through the prism of her own personal values. Together, the objects of the exhibition is a TEXT.
